Senior Savvy

Senior Savvy reaches over 10,000 citizens in both Rowan and Cabarrus Counties. It’s a free publication distributed through each counties Senior Center's and numerous other locations. Area seniors write the stories and share life experiences, important dates on senior activities and valuable information on subjects such as health, security and investments.

We work hand-in-hand with the senior center director's and their staff to be sure that we truly fill a need for information for seniors. Each issue is personal. We listen to seniors and, as a result, our readership feels a kinship with the newspaper. It belongs to them. We choose to establish ourselves through the senior center because it is the hub of information and activities that enhance their quality of life.

Rufty-Holmes Senior Center in Salisbury, the Concord Center in Concord, as well as the Mt. Pleasant Center in Mt. Pleasant, all offer classes of a wide variety with the goal of enhancing the lives of area senior adults.
